Oscar De La Fuente Elementary School
Earlier this month, the “Willy the Walrus” Dental Education Program of Harlingen Family Dentistry visited Oscar De La Fuente Elementary School as part of National Children’s Dental Health Month.
This is not the first time that Willy and Gail Thomason have been to Oscar De La Fuente Elementary. They have been coming for several years, educating children from kindergarten to the 5th grade.
The new principal at Oscar De La Fuente Elementary, Mr. Rolando Diaz, attended the two presentations given by Willy and Gail. The children really enjoyed them and learned how to take care of their teeth – the most important part of the exercise.

I was most impressed by the presentation provided by Gail and her staff. Students responded to her and are now better informed on how to protect their teeth and gums from dental issues. Willy was a hoot–the kids loved him. I highly recommend this presentation.
